Carly and Kyles Wedding

From the moment Kyle proposed to Carly at Cameron House in Loch Lomond and presented her with a big bouquet of Red Roses he had ordered from us when he had let us into the secret, we knew that this was going to be A. A big wedding and B. It was going to be lots of fun!!

Carly wanted a classic theme for her wedding and had so many ideas, it made our job very easy! In fact if she had told us she was a wedding planner we would have believed her, as the attention to detail was second to none.

We always ask our brides to be to buy their dress first because the dress always determines the style of the bouquet they have, with this in hand, she finally found her dream dress at Lotties in Ansdell, Carly decided on pastel shades for her colour theme.

Carly had lots of photos to show us regarding her bouquet, but she couldnt decide on which one so we asked her what her favourite flowers were and incorporated them in to the style of bouquet she liked best.

Carlys bouquet was a hand tied array of pink Cala Lilies, stunning Peach and Pink Roses, Poppy heads, Baby Blue Eucalyptus and Eryngium.

For the four bridesmaids, Carly wanted a smaller version of her bouquet to compliment their beautiful soft peach gowns.

For the grooms party a Soft Peach Rose was chosen for the button holes with a hint of Pink Snowberry and Eryngium to tie in with the brides bouquet.

The Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom both had wrist corsages, with Pale Pink Roses, Orchids and Pink Snowberries, the Grandmothers had Pale Pink Roses, with Pink Snowberries, and Carly's Grandad had beautiful Orchids.  The Confetti cones were filled with dried rose petals and fresh rose petals.

The church Carly and Kyle had chosen was beautiful on its own, but to carry on the soft pastel theme, we made a large floral archway to frame the door and make a beautiful backdrop for the wedding photos. This was filled with Pale Pink, White, Peach and Cream Peonies, Roses, Hydrangeas and  Gypsophila and was transported to Stanley House after the church to be used outside the Manor House for more photo opportunities.

We made the 32 pew ends out of White Hydrangeas, Pink and Peach Roses,  Gypsophila and Eryngium. They framed the aisle beautifully as they were quite large so made an impact as you entered the church.

Ten candle arrangements, made with the same flowers as the pew ends were placed on the window sills at the side of the pews. Two large arrangements stood at the foot of the aisle and the entrance, these also followed the theme of the rest of the flowers.

Stanley House was the venue after the wedding, and as this was such a large hotel,  that the couple had exclusively for 24hrs, we could literally put flowers wherever we wanted, with a free reign flower arrangements were placed :

Outside the main doors, these were in urns and filled with Gladioli, Hydrangeas, Fern and Palm Leaves these were lit with tiny rice lights for the evening.

The bathrooms had arrangements of White Hydrangeas and Pink Snowberries, Eryngium and Pale Pink Roses, as did the bar, the entrance hall, reception and staircase.

The room where the meal was taking place had a very high ceiling and beautiful chandeliers, so the plan of using Ivy and rice lights with hanging Orchids would have been lost, so we decided to use them behind the top table which really complimented the area, making the light soft and romantic. The Top Table boasted a full length arrangement of trailing Phalaenopsis Orchids, White Hydrangeas, Roses, Poppy Heads and Baby Blue Eucalyptus. Church Candles of different sizes were used within the flowers to carry on the romantic lighting theme.

Silver vases that stood over 6ft high were filled with Gladioli and Peach Roses were placed either side of the Top Table. The centrepieces for the guest tables were in tall silver vases and they were filled with Cymbidium Orchids, Hydrangeas, Cala Lilies, Roses, Eryngium, Poppy Heads, Snapdragon, Eucalyptus and Pink Snowberries, all the vases on the tables were surrounded by pretty silver and gold pots with tea lights burning to give a soft glow.

After the speeches it was time to change the room for the evening reception, this gave us a chance to take apart the top table arrangements and utilise them on the present table, memory table and around the buffet area.

We were very proud that all our hard work was appreciated so much by so many people and all the compliments we received were lovely, it's not only a job to us it's a way of life, we live and breath flowers!! We are happy if you are happy and Carly, Kyle and their family were very happy, not only with the flowers by the whole day was just so fun filled and it was an honour to be involved. From the Gospel Choir, to Howard Wing, the DJ and band Downtown Underground, were all amazing.

Thank you to Martin the vicar at St Peters church in Salesbury and Beth , Victoria, Patrick and Staff at Stanley House in Mellor for being so accommodating with our out of hours dressing of the church and hotel, and we wish Carly and Kyle a long and happy life together !!!
